LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska’s third temporary casino is now open in Columbus.
On Monday, officials gathered at the Platte County Ag Society Park for the grand opening of the temporary facility.

Construction is already underway on the permanent location, which is expected to open in 2024.
“Opening the Columbus Casino is a huge milestone for us in the Harrah’s Columbus project,” Don Ostert, the casino’s senior vice president and general manager, said in a press release. “With the tremendous support from the community of Columbus, we’re proud to open our doors and welcome guests to the temporary facility for the first time.”
Temporary casinos have also been opened in Grand Island and Lincoln while permanent locations are being built.
